STORAGE

Access to shared external storage — a legacy alias that requests the exact same permissions as GALLERY on every Android version and iOS; kept for apps migrating from an older storage-permission model. Never requests write access on either platform.

• Android: same mapping as GALLERY — READ_MEDIA_IMAGES + READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (API 33+, with Android 14+ "Partial Access" reporting GrantStatus.PARTIAL_GRANTED) or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE below that.

• iOS: no separate sandbox concept, so this maps to the same photo library handler as GALLERY — NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription and a real system dialog, not a no-op.

If your app only needs images/videos, prefer GALLERY (or GALLERY_IMAGES_ONLY / GALLERY_VIDEO_ONLY / GALLERY_ADD_ONLY for narrower scope) — new code should not reach for this alias.
